Longido Maasai Cultural Tour
The Longido Maasai Cultural Tour offers a unique opportunity to experience the traditional lifestyle of the Maasai people, one of East Africa’s most iconic indigenous groups. Located just outside Arusha, Longido is a rural area where the Maasai have lived for centuries, maintaining their rich cultural heritage and pastoral way of life.
During the tour, visitors are welcomed into a Maasai village, where they can interact with local families and learn about their customs, traditions, and daily activities. Highlights include watching traditional dances, visiting Maasai homes (enkangs), learning about their unique livestock practices, and exploring their vibrant beadwork and crafts. The tour also offers insight into the Maasai’s spiritual beliefs, rituals, and how they coexist with nature in the African savannah.
