Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, embark on a 2–3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic baobab trees and thriving wildlife. Spend the day exploring the park, where the Tarangire River serves as a lifeline for animals, especially during the dry season. Witness massive herds of elephants and rare species such as the greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx, and starlings. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst this awe-inspiring landscape. The park’s low-lying hills and swamps create a picturesque setting, attracting diverse species year-round. After the day’s adventures, retire to the serene Marera Valley Lodge for a restful evening.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
Start the day with an early breakfast and a short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater rim for stunning panoramic views. Home to the Big Five—rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalos, and elephants—the crater also hosts zebras, hippos, wildebeests, and hyenas. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by unparalleled beauty. Birds such as flamingos, geese, storks, and vultures are abundant, adding to the incredible biodiversity. Afterward, return to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
