Day 1; Arrival – Overnight in Arusha;

You will be picked up and driven to your opulent hotel in Arusha as you have requested shortly after you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Depending on when you arrive, you might also have the chance to take a tour of Arusha, which might include a stop at the well-known African Art Gallery and the Cultural Heritage Center, which is filled with the findings and background of Jane Goodall’s research on chimpanzees and great apes. In this context, you will learn more about ancient culture and the arts. If you have time, you will also visit the Maasai local market before going to your accommodation for dinner and the night.

Day 2; Arusha to Serengeti National Park;

Your trip to the Serengeti will start earlier at 7:00 am after breakfast. You will have an interesting game drive while traveling along and somehow uneven road. You will eventually be able to see the expansive Serengeti plains after traveling through the crater highlands. Usually, the drive takes five to six hours. You will stop briefly at the crater viewpoint beyond the Ngorongoro gate if the weather permits. Before continuing on to the Serengeti, you can pause here for ten minutes to admire the Ngorongoro Crater from above. After stopping at the Serengeti Naabi Hill gate for a hearty lunch, you will check into the park and go on an afternoon game drive. You will travel to your campsite for dinner and your overnight stay as the sun sets. As an alternative, you will be able to go to a Maasai village for free. Most visitors, however, choose not to participate because it has recently become a more commercial experience.

Day 3; Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area;

With your breakfast packed, you will depart the campsite at around six in the morning for a sunrise game drive, when the animals are most active. As an alternative, you could ask to go on a hot air balloon ride (reserve in advance; a typical balloon safari costs between $550 and $600 per person). This is an experience of a lifetime that gives you the opportunity to see the wild animals from above. After enjoying a picnic in the bush for breakfast, you will resume your game drive before heading back to the camp for a hearty lunch. After that, you will load up the car, drive out of the camp, and proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will stay overnight at the Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp and eat dinner while admiring the view of the crater rim from the eastern side.

Day 4; Ngorongoro Crater Tour & A Journey to Arusha;

With a packed breakfast in hand, you will begin your day by boarding the safari vehicle at 6:00 am and traveling to the crater. Numerous species of East African wildlife, including the endangered black rhino, can be found in this special location. You may be lucky enough to see one. You will need five to six hours to explore the crater because it is quite large, 600m deep, measuring about 260 square kilometers and having a diameter of about 20 kilometers. You will have a hot lunch at the campsite after your exploration. After that, you’ll set out to return to Arusha, where you should arrive at approximately 5:00 p.m. For your subsequent trip to the paradise islands of Zanzibar or back to your home country, you can also choose to be dropped off at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. Please make sure to keep to your return flight schedule.
