Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar Airport & a Flight to Serengeti;

Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park where you will land at the Seronera Airstrip approximately 1hr on the air. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your guide and embark on your first game drive, immersing yourself in the vibrant wildlife as you explore the park during the calving season. This is an incredible time to witness newborn wildebeests and other animals, creating a lively atmosphere. The wildebeest calving season in the Serengeti, typically occurring between late January and March, is an incredible spectacle where around 500,000 wildebeest give birth over a few weeks. This event attracts predators like lions and hyenas, creating a dramatic balance of life and death in the ecosystem. The calves are born in a coordinated manner, which increases their chances of survival by overwhelming predators with sheer numbers. The sight of thousands of newborns dotting the landscape, coupled with the intense drama of predator-prey interactions, makes this season a highlight of the natural world. On this day you will be on an introductory class under this spectacular event preparing yourself on the next day’s full day of exploration. You will have your lunch on the bush before heading to your accommodation for retirement, dinner and the night, you will check in at Katikati Tented Camp.

Day 2: Serengeti -Calving Season Routes,

On this special and bright day, you will wake up earlier, quickly adhere to your personal hygiene before you go for breakfast, after breakfast your guide will collect you ready for a trip to Ndutu focusing on the great migration safari route, our goal is to spend the day observing the calving spectacle, where thousands of wildebeests give birth, around 8000 baby wildebeests are born every day during calving season. Your guide will help you track herds and spot other wildlife, such as predators that follow the calving events. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your game drives, taking in the stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity. Alternatively you may choose to go for a hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti which offers you a chance to observe the wild animals from aerial perspective, a hot air ballon ride activity takes place earlier in the morning as you leave your lodging while the sky is still dark, therefore when you opt to go into it kindly advise earlier, a hot air ballon ride is an adventure of a life time for those who go into it, it charges from 550$ – 600$ per person per day in a standard ballon safari. Following your long day of exploration, you will check in at Ndutu Safari Lodge for dinner, recharge and the night.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park-More Adventures;

Dedicate another day to explore the Serengeti’s varied ecosystems. Following your incredible breakfast, you may take a visit to the famous Seronera area, known for its abundance of wildlife. You may also encounter giraffes, zebras, and elephants, all against the backdrop of the savannah. In the central Serengeti, particularly around the Seronera area, you can fall in love with a variety of activities such as game drives, hot air balloon safaris (optional), all offering incredible opportunities to see wildlife like lions, elephants, and leopards. The region is known for its abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes. For accommodation, the area is situated with lodges and camps which provides a comfortable stay with beautiful views, delicious dining options, and easy access to the best game viewing areas, making it an ideal base for exploring this vibrant ecosystem. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on a day, in the evening, enjoy a sunset drive or a traditional bush dinner.

Day 4: Journey to Ngorongoro Crater,

After breakfast, you’ll leave Serengeti and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a Crater tour approximately 4-5 hours road drive. Upon your arrival you will adhere to the entrance formalities then you will immediately descend into the 600-meter-deep crater formed due to the collapse of a volcanic mountain, it is marvel at the unique landscapes and rich wildlife, including the African Big Five animals including lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and the endangered rhino. Spend the day exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant animal populations. You will be served a warm lunch in the designated area within the crater around the hippo pool. As you ascend out of the Crater in the late noon you will head to your place of accommodation in Karatu a small town situated few kilometers as enter or leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Areas. Upon your arrival you will check in for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park;

In the morning wake up with a bright smile enjoy your delightful breakfast before heading to Lake Manyara National Park for your final touches in the bush through this majestic adventure of a lifetime. Approximately 3 hours road drive you will be at Lake Manyara National Park, upon your arrival, you will embark on a game drive in this diverse park famously known for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, and baboons in large groups. Considering its small size, the park is home to an astounding variety of animals and birds. Your safari experience will be considerably diversified by a quick visit to this tranquil park, as the lush, green jungle habitat stands in stark contrast to the other parks you already take a visit to. This park is famous for its stunning scenery and tree-climbing lions. Experience a mix of wildlife, from elephants and flamingos to unique birds, as you explore the park’s lush landscapes. Under this context you may choose to explore Lake Manyara National Park by cycling served as an optional activity with extra charges for a park ranger and operation costs. Enjoy your lunch in the bush and get relaxed for some moments while admiring the sounds of birds and animal crawls under this fancy environment, later on you will make your way out of the park as you head to your accommodation in Arusha where you will spend the night for dinner while memorizing the flavors the nature has blessed you with as you conclude your journey in the jungle.

Day 6: Departure via Kilimanjaro International Airport;

It is your final day under this marvelous adventure, you will wake up earlier ready for a warm breakfast followed by your personal hygiene then after take some moments of relaxation in your hotel/lodge enjoying its facilities while admiring the African atmosphere. Depending on your flight schedule, a town/city tour in Arusha can be arranged for extra costs. You will be dropped at Kilimanjaro International Airport on your onward journey by catching a flight back home while reflecting on the incredible experiences and memories made during your safari adventure.
